The Recreation and Parks Departments has a variety of  sports and recreation equipment that can be borrowed for free. 

 

List of equipment available to borrow:

Outdoor Recreation Equipment:

  • Snowshoes (children to adult sizes available)

  • Nordic Walking Poles

  • GPS Units

  • Compasses 

  • Camping Gear (Tents, Sleeping Pads)

  • Hiking Gear (Daypack, headlamp, compass)

  • Adapative Recreation Equipment

    • Hippocampe All-terrian Wheelchair

    • Hockey Sledges

Sports Equipment:

  • Beach Volleyball Set

  • Basketballs

  • Soccer Balls

  • Baseball Equipment

  • Ground Hockey Gear (sticks, helmets, goalie gear, nets)

  • Skateboards (plus helmets and protective equipment)

  • Spikeball

  • Scooters

Yard Games:

Equipment loan is subject to availablity, To borrow equipment contact the Recreation Department at 902-875-3544 ext 229. If there is a piece of equipment that you are looking for, but is not lised please contact us we may be able to help.

Gear Up Exchange Program

Looking for sports or recreation equipment? We have a selection of new and used equipment for all ages and it’s FREE! Have equipment to donate? Give a second life to your unused or gently used equipment. Donations can be dropped off at the Recreation Office (136 Hammond St) or in the Gear Up bin at the Shelburne County Arena (see pic below). Equipment can also be left in or picked up from the “Gear Up” bin located in the Shelburne County Arena. For inquiries call 902-875-3544 ext 229
